Why The 43rd Ward Needs A New Alderman

Jacob Ringer candidate 43rd ward alderman chicago lincoln park

Since I began my campaign last April, I’ve knocked on over 10,000 doors personally and have had the chance to meet so many incredible people in our ward,

These interactions have reinforced my belief that despite any differing viewpoints or positions we may have, there is still a deep passion and love for our neighborhood that unites us all. There's a clear desire to collectively build on what's working in the 43rd ward and perhaps most importantly, fix what's not.

To me, it's this sense of community that makes the 43rd ward the best neighborhood in the best city in the world. It's the reason why my wife and I choose to live here and are raising our two young sons here.

As residents, we’ve witnessed the lack of leadership in the 43rd ward in recent years and the toll it has taken on our community. Our neighborhood has experienced significant spikes in crime, a declining local business climate and surge in vacant storefronts, and an increase in property taxes (including a $589 million property tax increase voted on by our current alderman), among other issues.

Personally, I care too much about our ward to stand by and allow this to continue to happen to our community.

This is why I'm running to be your next alderman.

We deserve better.

As residents, we deserve an alderman who:

Above all, we deserve an alderman who puts residents first and will unify our community so that together, we can solve the issues our ward faces and make it the best neighborhood possible.

As alderman, this is what you can expect from me. I’ll combine these core principles with tangible, common-sense solutions to our ward’s problems, an unwavering dedication to you, the taxpayer, and a passion for our community unmatched by any other candidate.

If you haven’t already done so, please visit here to learn more about my detailed plans for solving the 43rd ward's problems.

If you would like to see meaningful results from your elected alderman, I am asking for your support and vote on February 26 so we can make this shared vision for the 43rd ward a reality.

As always, if you would like to discuss any matter in the ward in more detail, please do not hesitate to contact me. I greatly value your feedback and will always help a fellow neighbor any way I can.

Candidate, 43rd Ward Alderman
